The Losses of COVID-19
Oct 16, 2021
What do I miss most,
They ask? A tight hug,
I say, more than 15 seconds.
The warmth of bodies, known
And new. The softness of blouses
And even the crushed goose down
Feeling of insulated coats. Memories
Freed by someone’s scent. Hugs,
Coming and going, greeting and
Parting, new or familiar
Hands lightly stroking my back,
Granting a good squeeze.
